About us
The Genomics platform has always provided bioinformatics support for sequencing data analysis. However, in response to the growing and continuous demand for computational solutions in modern biological sciences, the bioinformatics team began expanding in 2018.
Working closely with the Genomics platform and the Next Generation Sequencing group, our team develops standardized pipelines for analyzing data from key sequencing applications, including RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and single-cell (10X Genomics). Committed to staying at the forefront of bioinformatics, we continuously update our workflows to align with advancements in sequencing and computational technologies.
Beyond these specific applications, our team collaborates with SEGI and UDI-GIGAMED to support the GIGA community by providing documentation and assistance for using a professional computational environment. This includes access to institutional (ULiège) mass storage and high-performance computing clusters from both GIGA and CECI.
Additionally, the Bioinformatics platform offers training modules to help academic and industrial partners develop fundamental and advanced bioinformatics skills. We also run internship and mentorship programs to encourage careers in computational science.
